Memorial gifts

The final week of Mom’s life was calm and peaceful, in no small part, because she was living at the Vermont Respite House. She had a private room, with a bright, sunny window out to the landscaped gardens. She received 24-hour nursing and hospice care by staff and volunteers who were attuned to the special perspectives of end of life care. She had visitors — human and canine — to remind her of the impact she’s had on many people in her life. And she also had the quiet time she needed.

Please consider making a contribution to the Vermont Respite House program of the Vermont Visiting Nurses Association to help others who are ready to journey there.

Lhasa Apsos have been important to Mom for over 25 years, and she was deeply grateful for the wonderful folks who stepped up to rescue eight dogs from her home when she had to go into extended acute hospital care in May.

The American Lhasa Apso Club (ALAC) Rescue Network is a group of volunteers that work within the ALAC guidelines to find loving, responsible homes for Lhasas that for a myriad of reasons are homeless.

Please consider making a donation to ALAC Rescue to help them place dogs like Mom’s.

I will always remember Pat for her passion for her Llasa’s, fun we had on Halloween, at Burlington Single’s events, and especially the many Christmas Eve’s we spent at her home.

God bless you Pat, and your many friends and family members.

Pat, you have brought such joy to our family with the addition of one of your beautiful Lhasa’s. We talk about you all the time and Boomer wants to walk up your driveway and to the front door every time we pass by your house..We dearly miss our visits to your house, but your spirit lives on through your beautifuly bred dogs..
